Thank Yous

Alleycon would like to thank the following for their contributions.

  1. The Grey Council, a group of dedicated nerds, who envisioned a convention in Gwangju and followed through.
  2. The First Alleyway for acting as an excellent venue.  Specifically the owners for being amazing sports and really getting into the con spirit.
  3. Authors Myke Cole and Jack Campbell for donating their time and personalities over Skype.
  4. Relja Kojic for his photographic expertise.  His portraits were amazing and showcase the best Alleycon had to offer.
  5. Pedro's House for donating nights at their premises for the costume contest winners.
  6. Our participants, the best men and women Gwangju has to offer.  Your enthusiasm made this event a thrill to organize and inspires us to do it bigger and better next year.
Thanks again and we hope to meet you all again sooner than later.

Grimm Hunters

Nick Burkhardt, an eponymous Grimm is a homicide detective, whose Aunt Marie tells him that he is descended from a line of hunters, called Grimms, who fight supernatural forces. Even before his abilities manifested, Nick had an exceptional ability to make quick and accurate deductions about the motivations and pasts of individuals, which has now expressed itself as his ability to perceive aspects of the supernatural that nobody else can see. - Wikipedia

Kelly Burkhardt is a Grimm who is also Nick Burkhardt's mother. Her first appearance was in the last episode of season 1 (episode 22). For 18 years Nick had believed that both of his parents had died in a car crash. Only after learning that he was a Grimm did Nick find out that his parents had actually been murdered. - Wikipedia

Post-Apocalyptic Family

Post-apocalyptic fiction is set in a world or civilization after such a disaster. The time frame may be immediately after the catastrophe, focusing on the travails or psychology of survivors, or considerably later, often including the theme that the existence of pre-catastrophe civilization has been forgotten (or mythologized). Post-apocalyptic stories often take place in a non-technological future world, or a world where only scattered elements of technology remain. - Wikipedia
