Guts (ガッツ Gattsu, sometimes romanized as Güts) is a fictional character and the main protagonist of the anime and manga franchise Berserk written and illustrated by Kentaro Miura. In the series, Guts is a Mercenary who travels from company to company so he is always fighting. After meeting Griffith, Guts is defeated in battle by Griffith and is forced to join the band of the Hawk.
